
Heather Barajas
Heather is originally from China Spring, Texas and has 25 years of dance
experience. She began dancing at age three and continued to train until she reached
high school, where she became a member of the China Spring High School Electric
Blues Dance Team. She was a four-year member of both the dance team and Varsity
cheerleading squad.
After high school, she attended McLennan Community College in Waco, where
she was a member of the five-time Collegiate National Champions, the MCC Dance
Company. Heather completed her undergraduate work at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. She was a member of the six-time Collegiate National Champions, the SFA Pom Squad. Heather graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Journalism and Broadcasting.
After graduating college, she spent the next four years as a professional NBA dancer
for the San Antonio Spurs and was voted as captain for her last two seasons. She was
also the in-arena announcer for the San Antonio Silver Stars WNBA team and the
San Antonio Rampage AHL team.
Heather was the head director of the New Braunfels High School Varsity and JV
dance teams and Pep Squad for three years. She is currently the head coach of the
J.J. Pearce High School Stampede and the assistant director of the Pacesetters Drill
Team.
She’s had the opportunity to travel to many different areas of Texas choreographing
for high school and college dance teams. She currently resides in Irving with her
husband Eddie and their two precious pups, Tyson & Peanut.
