
Susan Johnson Armijo
Susan is the Owner of Centre for Dance. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of North Texas where she studied Marketing and Advertising. Susan began dancing at the age of 18 months old. She has studied all forms of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Country, Salsa and more. Susan has been a cheerleader, on drill team, a competitive gymnast, on color guard and winter guard teams. Besides dance, she also played Clarinet for 11 years, and played softball for 20 years.
Susan directed the award-winning North Garland High School Color Guards and Winter Guards for three years, while guest teaching area high school color guards and dance teams. In addition to judging for high school teams, Susan has judged for the Dallas Mavericks Dancers and Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue Dancers auditions, as well as several IFL and NAHL teams in the metroplex.
Susan’s additional credits include: Trix cereal commercial, danced as a Texas Tornado Siren Dancer, was in a Diamond Rio music video, modeled in a fashion show for a local clothing store, featured performer at the Super Cuts Convention, and can be seen on various packaging distributed nationwide for The Brinkmann Corporation.
Susan lives in Plano with her husband, 3 year old son and baby daughter. She has danced for most of her life, and combined with her 15 years of teaching and 10 years of studio management experience, she strives to help every student reach their dance goals.
